I’ve noticed I’ve got a few hits from people searching for the MP3Cue plugin for WinAmp 2. So I’ve included it on my web page for people to download in case you can’t find it. I know I had some trouble finding it since it’s discontinued.
However I would recommend using Ogg Vorbis and WinAmp3 instead of MP3 and WinAmp2. You can have the tracks as seperate files and they’ll be gapless, unlike MP3. If you’re just after something to archive your CD’s with no quality loss, I recommend Monkey’s Audio and Exact Audio Copy.
I haven’t yet tried to recreate a CD with a CUE sheet and seperate Ogg Vorbis files however, so if you’re after decent quality backups, but can’t afford the HD space, check out R3Mix for the options to use with the LAME MP3 encoder to create close to perfect MP3′s. Just keep in mind you’ll have to have it as one huge MP3, and hence the reason you would be after the MP3Cue plugin I suppose.
Well, I’m kinda at the aftermath at the moment, posting from a friend’s computer. It appears that the mystery of Dave Seaman’s height may have been solved.
As for the event itself, it was damn fun. Spent most of the time walking around, walking to Metro’s (but never going in, god no). Anyway, maybe more posts later depending on if I can get to a computer with an Internet connection later on.
On the other news front, I’ve got a 2nd hand Mazda 626, automatic, air con (needs gassing), white, and a CD player! Woo! So now I’m no longer dependent on Coel driving me to work. Unfortunately it will mean I’ll have less money to play with, well it’ll motive me to figure out ways of making more money.
Has not been a good week for me. Haven’t been feeling that well recently, however it seemed to clear up late night Friday. Also like to say thanks to all my friends, my life is much easier thanks to you guys.
I’ll repay you all when I become a multimillionaire. Put your orders for what you want in now.
