I’m not too bad at the moment. Just got a new toy at work, an OKI 5100 colour laser printer. Why is this a new toy for me? Because it prints out pictures at damn impressive quality. The upshot of which, when I get around to drawing some of the pics I want to, then I’ll be able to produce a hardcopy.
Trying to test it out though is difficult, I can’t really find many pictures with at least 300dpi resolution. The printer does 600dpi by 1200dpi, so printing an A4 page of a 75dpi picture seems a waste. Ah well.
Maybe I should work on some comic or something to make this site more popular. I’m not thinking that because I want to be popular, more that I’m the only person actually posting on this site (well it is mine I suppose), but it’s a bit of a one-sided view of the world if I’m the only one posting.
Oh hey! GFXArtist needs money for a new server. So anyone who’s interested in digital art, and in particular, good digital art, get on and sign up!

Well, I think I also better post some proof that I’m actually using my Wacom tablet. I’ve been telling everybody that I’m been meaning to get back into learning to draw, and figured I better post something to prove that, I have, indeed been serious.
I’ve found out thar my Mum has been taking drawing lessons from some Uni art teacher who holds classes at his place for $20 for 2 hours. I’ll have to check and see if he’s got any sessions that are after work hours so I can attend. Also my employer has said he would pay for a design course for me. He wants me to design the work web page and brochures. I’m interested in his offer, means I basically get to attend a free design course.
I haven’t posted in awhile!
It’s not that things aren’t happening it’s just there I either want to keep quiet about them, or I don’t think they’re very interesting. But since it’s been such a slow news week, I better just post something remotely interesting.
Lets see, Boopie (from The Scene) had her birthday party on the 28th of March. Had a good time, things even got more interesting when the power went out (there was a very heavy thunderstorm going on at the time). I also managed to use two rolls of film, I managed to achieve this by using a Canon AE-1 SLR camera.
Since I don’t actually have a camera, I’ve decided to buy one, luckly my boss has a few on offer, so I borrowed it for the weekend. I have yet to get the photos developed, and when I manage this feat, I’ll post any interesting photos I manage to find.
Recently, the speedo on my car has busted, it still works, it just vibrates now, which kinda gives me an average speed instead of my actual speed. This isn’t a bad thing, because if I imagine it as the rev indicator it looks like I’m going really fast, pushing the car to its limits. Of course it’s only a 1.8litre Mazda 626, but hey, make the best of a bad situation.
Didn’t get my planned ice skating thing in this week, the thunderstorms proved far too interesting, love em! Can’t stress how much I love thunderstorms you know.
Been tweaking the webpage a little, see if anyone can spot the changes. Well, that’s it I suppose, like I said, nothing interesting that I want to talk about at the moment. Though I haven’t heard from my mate Ben, my on the spot reporter in Japan. He’s been strangely quiet, this is worthy of further investigation I believe.
