Apps vs System Hungarian

I’ve read Joel’s essay on Making Wrong Code Look Wrong ages ago, and now I’m starting on a new C/C++ project and I’ve decided I’ve got to come up with a good scheme for Apps Hungarian.

Now while most people can see that Apps Hungarian is a good thing. It’s unfortunate that programmers, being programmers, tend to get into arguments over misunderstandings. Luckly however, it’s nice to know there’s people that can see both points of view and offer a nice explaination.

Disgusting

I don’t know the best way to describe it, it’s something that I didn’t think would be possbile in Australia to be honest. A mob of people, “Australians” apparently. Fueled by alcohol and small mindedness and quite simply bringing shame to our country. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, then that’s a good thing, because it’s such a shameful thing for our country.

My hand has been forced

Lo and behold, my friend, Gungadin (not his real name), has started posting on his blog again. This of course means that not I have to put in some real effort (not actual real effort) and start posting on mine again. Heaven forbid that he actually posts more than me.

Luckily however, I started my blog waaaaay before his, so I’ve got a nice buffer in which to relax. Although I have been relaxing blogwise a bit too much. So what can I talk about? I could weave a lyrical tale of the political life of two-way radio companies in Perth, however, I won’t do that, because, to be frank, it’s boring.

However, be pleased that I have be moved from my tupor enough to post something at least.
